As most of you know, I am now retired from Air Canada after a very happy 34 years in the Airline business. The GOOD NEWS is that I have more time now to attend to the more important matters- ie: PLANNING YOUR SKI/TRAVEL TRIPS. I will surely miss my time at Air Canada, but I'm more than excited at being free to organize more trips for our 400+ members across Canada and the United States.
More and more skiers come on board every year upon recommondations from the 'regulars', so I have to Thank you all for this - after all, without you guys, we wouldn't be doing this!! Remember our motto, 'FLY, WHILE YOU STILL HAVE WINGS' - it makes a lot of sense.
Don't leave it until it's too late!! Join our group today and get to know all these NEW FRIENDS you haven't met as yet!! I also have to THANK YOU ALL for the great send-off both in Fredericton and Ottawa; it was very touching both to myself and my wife, Patricia.
For those of you who DON'T know me... I will bring you up to date on our club. We started all this way back in 1977 with a group of guys from Ottawa Airport looking for a place to ski. We ended up at a place called THYON2000 in Switzerland and the rest, as they say, is history!! WE ARE CELEBRATING OUR TWENTY FIFTH ANNIVERSARY THIS SEASON - 2002. Where HAS the time gone??? As I said above, I have worked almost 35 years with Air Canada; receiving the AWARD OF EXCELLENCE in 1990 (Ottawa), served 6 years as President of the Airlines Club of Ottawa, a member of WACA (World Airlines Clubs Association) and I was also the President of the Air Canada Recreation Association in Ottawa (ACRA) in 1973-74. I moved to Fredericton Airport, New Brunswick in 1996 and was awarded the ABOVE & BEYOND award from this City in 1998, in recognition of Outstanding Community Service in the area of Customer Service. As mentioned above I've held a Certified Specialist Certificate from Switzerland Tourism since October 1999 and, later this year, hope to have received the same Certificate from the Spanish Tourist Office. So THERE... you're up to date!!
