January 14th, 2008 - Welcome to the 'ROOF OF THE WORLD'
Join us on our November tour to Amazing Tibet. Highlighted will be our visit to 'Lhasa' which is rightly one of the most featured and dreamt about cities in the world, not because of its remoteness, its high altitude, at 3,650 meters (almost 12,000 ft.) means limited accessibility, impressive heritage of over a thousand years of cultural and spiritual history that has helped to create the romantic and mysterious Tibetan Religion (see the movie, "Seven years in Tibet"), but Lhasa is unique with an allure all it's own (In the Tibetan language, Lhasa means the Holy Land or Land of the Buddha). The splendor and grandeur of the Potala Palace remains a world-famous symbol of the enigmatic power of politics and religion in this region.
