I would like to take this opportunity to wish our friends from the U.S. a very Happy Thanksgiving Day. I hope you will enjoy this beautiful time of year with your family and those close to you… and, for everyon else, as the Holiday Season is approaching, May we take this opportunity to wish everyone of you a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and a New Year filled with Happiness and Joy!!

We have just returned from another wonderful tour of Beijing, China with a group of Interliners. Our first stop was Tienanmen Square and the Forbidden City, the largest and most complete Imperial Palace in China where, for centuries, Chinese Emperors ruled the world. The highlite though was everyone’s first sight of the awesome GREAT WALL OF CHINA. Not only did they ‘see’ it, but some of them actually climbed clear to the top at Juyong Pass-. When you go up- you gotta come down- no small feat, believe me! Among those ‘adventurers’ were; Tammy Sandoval (SWA-PHX), Pam & Gillian Brown (AC-YYT), Don Wallace & Jill Kellehar (SWA-ORD), Samantha Johnson (YYT) and Gord Scarcella (YOW). Other exciting places among many other sites visited were the Ming tombs, the Temple of Heaven, Panda Zoo and the Olympic Sites. What an amazing City!! We also took in a couple of fantastic Acrobatic, and Kung foo shows.

Of course ‘shopping’ was at the top of everyone’s list and for most, the destination was the fantastic ‘Pearl Market’ in Beijing. We actually met many other airline personnel from all over the world at this fantastic shopping Mecca- It has everything anybody could ever want at unbelievably low prices… One stop shopping at it’s best!!

A reminder for the coming New Year…Don’t you dare miss our Oriental tours (including tours to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Tibet and Inner Mongolia) September 2009 in conjunction with the ‘World Airline Road Races’ taking place at beautiful ‘West Lake, in Hangzhou. We expect 3,000+ Interliners/participants at WARR 09.
